I posted a photo of these cookies on Facebook today and a friend asked for the recipe. So I've typed it up here. It's very easy and much loved by my boys. I usually double it.
125g butter
¾ cup* brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup rolled oats
1. Turn oven to 180C.
2. Cream the butter and sugar.
3. Beat in the vanilla and the egg.
4. Sift in the flour and the baking powder.
5. Mix in the rolled oats.
6. Put teaspoonful lots on trays lined with baking paper.
7. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
Makes about 30 to 40.
*Australian cup = 250ml
