The Japanese economy has been at a low ebb for some time. The government is issuing these tracking boots for people to wear in rural areas. They hope that some of the tracks will be noticed internationally and photos passed around on social media, thus leading to a boom in tourism by cryptozoically inclined persons. All hoping to catch a glimpse of this hairy primate so like us, yet so unlike us.
