It's cooled down enough that I got out the gloves, scarves, and ear warmers from their summer storage last night. We have heaters out and are lightly using them. I have slept in a beanie on and off over the last couple of weeks. Our maximum temps are firmly in the teens, with only occasional excursions up to 20C. Yep, definitely a Tokyo autumn. In Brisbane we'd call this winter!
It takes a while for the leaves on the trees to catch up to the temperatures. The trees have lost their fresh brightness of early summer, they mostly look tired now, but not a lot have changed colours or fallen. However, on my ride to the park today there was a definite yellow tinge to the green of some of the trees. Not easy to catch in a photo, but I took photos of some of the more obvious autumn-clothed trees.
These are the seats that I often sit on when I arrive at the park. Definitely less shaded than in mid-summer.
This tree has nearly lost all it's leaves. It's an early bird.
The Ginko tree. These have beautiful leaves and colours, but they drop fruit that smell like vomit!
Smelly ginko!
This park has two large dog runs. They are usually well patronised. It's still pretty shaded here.
This was the most colourful photo I took, even the rubbish bins add colour. In the background is the playground that our boys used to love.
At times the sky had gorgeous cloud patterns today.
On the edge of the Edo-Tokyo Open-Air Architectural Museum that is housed in the park.
This was just to the left of the photo above.
Just before I left the park, more Ginko.
