I think I really did overdo it last week. My body's telling me so. I've now "got" three of the four major physical ways my body's told me over the years that I've stepped over the line. After two doctor's visits in the last four days I have medication to fix it all, but I guess I'd better do the not-so-obvious and slow down a little. So, I'm signing off today for a bit of a nap.
I was thinking when you wrote about what you did thursday that you should have stayed in bed!
ReplyDeleteOne of the things I really should have done was ditch the English Bible study on Friday. A lot of stress for minimal results: one attendee who wasn't really interested in interacting with the text.
ReplyDeleteYou aren't the first person to learn that lesson the hard way, and I'm sure you won't be the last, but I hope and pray you can take it a bit easier this week. We're all good at identifying these things in hind sight.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, thanks for the Upper Room booklet. I've been really enjoying it.
Well, I don't think it is so much a "lesson to be learnt", as one that is constantly in my face. Every day I have to decide whether to say yes or no to things. And often it is a long time after the "yes" that you realise it was too much, but by then it is hard to back out.
ReplyDeleteAnd then there is the stuff that I have little control over, like illness and he school closing for various reasons.
Hope you have been having a lovely sleep catch-up somewhere in the past 24 hours :)
