Japan photo #10

Here's another mysterious object from Japan. Can you guess what it is used for and where?

For everyone's enjoyment, could those who live or have lived in Japan just watch rather than answer please.

Here is the answer.

  1. That must be for hanging over a door - and then you can hang two items of clothing on clothes hangers on the hooks.

  2. I'm with Meredith on this. I've seen similar plastic ones on Australia. Great for hooking ironing on when done prior to putting way too!
Then again it could be a table-cloth clip for holding your tablecloth on the picnic table outside (so it doesn't blow away).
Or maybe it's a handbag hook. Clip on the edge of table in restaurant and hand your handbag on it!

  3. I think it definately goes over a door. Probably to hang coats /clothes ?

  4. Take another look. I've included a dimension this time. I don't know any doors that are 12mm thick.

  5. Hmmm, if it's not a hook to go over a door or shower then I'm stuck!

  6. Is it a hook for the back of a chair?

  7. A hook for hanging stuff from the board that goes around the walls in your bedroom?
